The True Type

A documentary short about the Holstein cow as a designed object. Between the show ring, the milking parlour of a research farm and the restoration of Paulus Potter’s The Bull at the Mauritshuis, the film asks what the true type of a cow is – and who decides. Made alongside the exhibition Convivium – Food Systems at the Limit at the Architekturmuseum der TUM; world premiere in the Short Film Competition of the Warsaw International Film Festival 2026.
